Jinx was a prodigy, raised to compete against his sibling to prove to his parents his intellectual worth.
He found success after managing to program the world’s first robot to run on a program that replicated human empathy.But things slowly fell apart when he somehow failed to replicate the code that skyrocketed him to fame, leading to the world forgetting his success. With his parents losing their admiration for him, he assumed that at some point, he snapped and managed to kill his parents.Actually, he doesn’t even know if he was responsible for their deaths. He snapped from a trance and saw their dead bodies, so he simply made that assumption.But after the revelation that he was to become a god, he realizes that this could be the key to his success, to prove his worth, and to be absolved of his “sin”
Jpeg is Jinx’s half-sibling, born a year after the patriarch remarried. She was trained to compete against her brother, with her achievements as a key to gaining her parents’ love. As someone skilled both mentally and physically, it is no wonder why she was the obvious favorite.She was the youngest vessel to learn of her mission, discovering her destiny at the ripe age of 16. The church recruited her immediately after learning of this news, promising to train her well. At age 18, she was already declared as the High Priestess of the Church of Somni–being declared as the youngest high priestess.However, things changed after she learned about the murder of her parents…not because of their passing, but because of how people treated the situation. It was as if their minds were suddenly wiped clean of the incident a day after she had contacted authorities about the event.Now stands the question: why did people forget the murder so easily? And most importantly, how would she react once she finds out her own brother is possibly behind the murder?
Ero
Ero Is the first robot to run a program that replicates human empathy. This was Jinx’s final thesis, and they both garnered multiple awards for best thesis output.Of course, this was not his true beginning. Ero was once Jinx’s childhood stuffed toy–the final gift his mother parted on to him before she suddenly disappeared. He treasured this stuffed toy, to a point that he created modifications to make the toy talk, walk, and respond to his actions.Surely this is what brought them closer together throughout the years, with Ero being considered as the “youngest Lagan sibling”.Nowadays, Ero works on his dreams to become an online content creator, having a small but dedicated fanbase.
Mythology states that the gods once created a messenger, whose purpose was to deliver prayers of the people to the gods. This messenger’s name is Orandi.Orandi, however, grew tired from their task. The gods, worried that Orandi would tire from their work made a new compromise. The next god to take their position was a human who is deemed worthy of this position. This way, the new god will be more understanding of the human situation, them having experienced this in the past. This would lead to much better problem-solving capabilities.Orandi then dedicated their life to assist these future vessels, obtaining a human form and choosing to live amongst the humans. They gained a new name as well–Parr Idnado.To know their experiences on earth would garner a long story, but nowadays, Parr is more well-known as the owner of a small, struggling coffee shop named Crustom.
Tun is the most interesting vessel. Rumor has it that he was once a kind, well-mannered person. However the moment he learned about his powers, his entire attitude completely changed. He quit his job, became unruly, and is responsible for multiple crimes.However, he seems to always be given a slap on the wrist by the police when caught. Whether this may be due to the fact that he is a vessel, or due to some other reason…we may never find out.One thing is for certain…he is indeed a headache for Parr (they just refuse to admit it).
Mistral was once a member of a popular girl group, however after a huge fight, the group split apart. Mistral went a different route as a solo artist, ditching the cutesy aesthetic she donned during her girl group days and presented herself as a sultry and daring performer. Of course, everyone hated that and she would garner a lot of hate mail.Interestingly enough, the moment she became a vessel, she boasted her power and instilled fear on to her haters. It seems like all her opportunities are solely from the fact that people fear her capabilities.
A comic project created five days after my phone was stolen at an art event I boothed in. This is to serve as a warning to my fellow artists.I’m putting this out for free in both Taglish and English due to popular demand.
